A chair can be the detail that gives a children’s room its personality. Positioned beside an activity table or tucked into a bedroom corner, the Bonbon Chair introduces colour, soft upholstery and a candy inspired design. Its velvet upholstery and glossy lacquered legs bring different textures into the setting, offering a starting point for the room’s palette. A shade repeated in wallpaper, a rug or a favourite illustration can connect the chair to the wider interior.
Bonbon’s versatility allows that character to carry through different settings. In a quieter bedroom, it can provide a colourful accent; in an expressive playroom, it can sit alongside patterned walls and imaginative furniture. Choosing its colour with the surrounding materials in mind gives each combination a sense of intention, an approach reflected in Verner Panton’s thoughts on colour. CIRCU’s Crafting a Colorful Playroom for Little Ones offers further inspiration for bringing Bonbon into a room where colour and play shape the design.
The Bun Van gives this colourful world a sense of adventure. Its camper van design introduces a distinctive setting for sleeping and imaginative journeys, with a bed, seating, desk and storage incorporated inside. A Bonbon Chair placed at a nearby activity table can extend the bedroom’s palette beyond the van, creating a connection between the larger statement piece and the smaller furnishings. Together, they make room for both the excitement of a pretend road trip and the everyday pleasure of sitting down to draw its route.
The Marshmallow Activity Table II gives Bonbon a natural companion. Both designs share a playful spirit, bringing the theme into an activity area where children can gather and create. Marshmallow’s blackboard tabletop welcomes chalk drawings, letters and invented games, while Bonbon adds upholstered seating around it. Coordinating the chair’s colour with the table’s lacquered details can bring the arrangement together, giving this creative corner an identity within the bedroom or playroom.
The Mogli Slide Playground introduces a larger landscape for play, with a design inspired by The Jungle Book. Within this adventurous setting, Bonbon can help connect an activity area to the playground through colour. A chair chosen to echo the slide or surrounding wallpaper makes the different areas feel part of the same room. Mogli brings movement and a sense of discovery, while a nearby table and Bonbon seating offer somewhere to pause, draw the next adventure or share a game.
The Bonbon Chair completes the setting through details children encounter every day. Its lightweight design allows it to serve different seating arrangements, while the velvet upholstery brings softness alongside larger play structures and smooth furniture finishes. Used individually, it gives a bedroom corner a recognisable character; grouped around a table, it creates a colourful gathering place. That flexibility makes Bonbon a useful connecting piece, carrying the room’s personality through moments of drawing, conversation and play.
