Lego Kids Dream House by Camille Walala\u00a0\u21d2\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/strong> The prolific french designer Camille Walala<\/a> <\/strong>used LEGO pieces in a rather unconventional way. Using the Scandinavian brand\u2019s newest product, the LEGO Dots, Camille<\/a> <\/strong>completely transformed shipping containers into a kids dreamhouse<\/a><\/strong>. The result is absolutely astonishing.<\/p>\n

Unlike the brand\u2019s trademarked bricks, thees new ones feature flat, 2D tiles in different colours and geometric shapes, which can be combined into a bouquet of patterns and used to adorn surfaces, unlike any other of the brand\u2019s products. For the installation, 2 million pieces were placed individually and by hand onto large,\u00a0Lego\u00a0base plates, which in turn were mounted to the surface of the different plywood furniture pieces and home decor elements<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI worked with Dots of different scales, starting with the smallest, one-centimetre tile and using it to create patterns around the house \u2013 on cushions, walls and even the window on the facade.\u201d Camille<\/a> <\/strong>explained to Dezeen<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Unlike any other surface, material or supply. these LEGO pieces can\u2019t be cut and shaped into the desired form, which presented quite a challenge to the French Designer.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
