Carv\u00a0had an idea. It\u00a0had a simple blueprint of a\u00a0Jansen\u2019s linkage. The mechanical creatures\u00a0are part works of art, part machines, and \u2014\u00a0according to Jansen \u2014\u00a0part lifeforms. Carv\u2019s walking bike replaced Jansen\u2019s sail with a couple of pedals and a bike chain.
