Over 15 years ago, Yuriy Zimenko, a young designer guided by his vanguardist vision, opened his own practice in the ever-growing city of Kyiv. His holistic approach to the work sets the bar high to other design firms, as Yuriy can do pretty much everything in a project, from architectural work to picking to the careful selection of art objects. This time, allied with incredible brands such as Essential Home, Delightful and, of course, Circu, Yuriy developed a stellar project that set the bar sky-high.
This unique project was designed and developed for a young family who resided in Kyiv. The designer’s inspiration for the job was drawn from the famous industrial look of Italian factories. The job was simple: to awe the family with the end result, where there’s a young man who wanted a really creative and imaginative kid’s bedroom.
The Rocky Rocket has a RGB light and speakers and it can be controlled by a mobile app (or with remote control). That connects by bluetooth and you can choose the music you want to play in your smartphone. The app has also a sleep assistant and you can choose the color intensity of the light and lighting effects.
Moon Rug is the ideal piece for your little astronaut or adventurous kid room. It can be used as his spot of fun and play and also brings a warm decoration to the space.
To fully understand the concept and the client’s wishes, Yuriy Zimenko had to meet with them 2 times to get a complete and overall perspective. After presenting its vision, the client immediately approved and the vision started to grow its physical shapes.
One of the project’s must-haves was to get as many environmental-friendly materials and practices. Yuriy isn’t properly a fan of the trivial ways of doing the job, which was very well accepted by the clients. The project, as the clients wished, was brimming with natural and environmental-friendly materials, such as onyx marble, wood and Italian wool.
This project shows how broad and creative the mind of Yuriy Zimenko really is. Details reign over the whole project while we’re absorbed by the overall look. A perfect mixture between mid-century modern, contemporary and vanguardist design.
