LEGO Christmas Workshop heads to London

Again this year, LEGO Christmas workshop arrives at Covent Garden, London, in the form of Santa’s Workshop. Circu will tell you all about it!

The annual LEGO® Christmas build has set foot in Covent Garden to bring, once again, some Christmas magic. A Santa’s workshop made from around 700,000 Lego bricks has been unveiled. Dear Santa is keeping a watchful eye over the elves while filling the sack with LEGO Christmas presents. The busy elves are being kept warm while they work with a roaring fire, we’re on the countdown to Christmas and there is still a lot of work to do.

LEGO encourages guests to get involved on social media, by taking an ‘elfie’ (a selfie with elves) and use the hashtag #LetsBuildXmas. The Lego fans can also get their fill at John Lewis on Oxford Street, where the store’s iconic Christmas ads have been recreated using the remarkable little plastic bricks.

Duncan Titmarsh is, once again, the man behind this impressive build. For the last 3 months, Duncan and a team of 8 other builders have been developing this masterpiece.
Being UK’s only LEGO Certified Professional, we consider he pretty much has the best job in the whole country. Actually, he’s one of the only 14 official Lego builders in the world. Also, he holds the Guinness World Record for the largest Lego structure ever built the replica of London’s Tower Bridge – 5,805,846 bricks.

LEGO UK is this year celebrating its 5th year of building spectacular Christmas creations in London. The LEGO Christmas exhibition started in 2011, with a 30m LEGO Christmas Tree, being then followed by a Giant Advent Calendar, a walk-through Snow Globe featuring a snowy London scene of iconic buildings and last year’s Santa’s Sleigh & Reindeer.

Santa’s workshop will be on display at the Covent Garden Piazza from November 26th to December 29th for fans of all ages to enjoy.
